Ever wonder what to do with all that leftover turkey?
We'll I had some lurking in the back of the fridge, so I pulled it
out last night and stripped all the meat off the bones. I put the
shredded meat in mexican enchiladas for dinner. Upon presenting
dinner on the table, Ben just sat there looking at it, like it was
something from an alien planet. Molly informed us that "she had
already eaten at a friend's house." And David cut his assigned
portion in half. The smell of the turkey recooking had already made me sick. So I just kind of picked at mine.
Of course David was nice about it. He gave the speech about being
grateful for what we have, and "eat it because your mom took the
time to fix it" deal. In the end I had more leftovers than originally. So the rest went in the trash. So much for turkey
leftovers. I think I'll do a ham for Christmas.

We must get that urge to reuse from our Mother. Take the higher ground and toss it. It's quite liberating. Reward yourself with a Subway turkey sandwich. You'll never look back!
